Hanover, PA, November 14, 2019 – Quinn, the best rated supplier of banners, flags and displays in promotional products, announces that customer service specialist Marianne Taylor was selected as one of the industry’s Service Heroes for 2019 by PPB Magazine.
Taylor was one of 15 winners from 74 customer service pros who were nominated.
Wendy Schwab, Quinn Customer Service supervisor, wrote in her nomination, “Marianne asks great questions when an order is received to help troubleshoot before the order goes to production. Questions like, “How will this look…,” “Should we have a pre-pro sample made, a picture of the finished product for approval before full production…,” “Does the customer know or understand…” help the orders to process smoothly. Even the insight of “I am not sure about this one” gives her the upper hand in preventing problems.”
Her accolades were echoed by not one, but three customers who - without asking - openly praised Marianne for intervention in making super-tight deadlines, even during the holidays. As Charlotte Turner, a Texas distributor wrote, “She is the ultimate professional - so kind and competent, and a great problem-solver. Her service is beyond excellent.”
President and CEO Matt Quinn was especially proud that her honor came during Quinn’s 25th Anniversary year in business. He said, “It was difficult nominating just one of our superheroes team for this award, because they are all THAT GOOD. But several customers had written glowing praises of Marianne, and as with most business decisions here at Quinn, we listen to our customers. We could not be prouder of Marianne and this honor.”
Taylor will be featured in the December issue of PPB Magazine.

Hanover, PA, June 3, 2019 – To help distributors show they are the expert source for outdoor marketing products as well as indoor, top-rated supplier Quinn, celebrating its 25th year, has created “Outdoor Marketing Month” in June during the busiest outdoor sales season of the year to increase awareness and buyer education on the power of outdoor promotions. An Outdoor Marketing Day will be celebrated on June 13th.
“Sometimes our distributors and sales counselors are labeled as “my shirt vendor,” or “my mug person,” and usually about INDOOR marketing products. We want to help our sales pro customers expand their offerings and sales to their clients by providing them a month they can dedicate to the lucrative outdoor branded market. Let’s showcase what else they can do by providing them with free promotional tools to tell their story to gain more of that share of the business,” explains Matt Quinn, CEO of Quinn, one of the leading outdoor marketing suppliers in promotional products.
Quinn’s marketing team has set up an educational website about the outdoor market written for end users, but referring them to “O Pros,” or Outdoor Marketing professionals in their area.
Quinn’s VP of Sales Bruce Kolbrener, a 23-year outdoor marketing veteran states, “We are putting our money where our mouth is. Our commitment to our distributors is to help them be Superheroes to their clients. By showcasing they cover outdoor solutions - such as flags, banners, tents, displays and other products used in outdoor settings - will help expand their business into these areas that are ripe for great repeat business year after year.”
The website – www.OutdoorMarketingMonth.com – will feature fun facts, tips, hints and trends about branded outdoor products in many categories. Also on the Quinn website for distributors will be Outdoor Marketing Month logos and flyers promoting the different weeks of that month, along with special pricing that lasts throughout the summer. Social media posts written for end users will be included as well that distributors can cut and paste into their own social shares.

Hanover, PA, May 15, 2019 – At a time where celebrating formal traditions is as popular on the playing field, TV and movies, as it is at colleges, towns and religious events, there’s a product that makes a re-debut in a modern way to match the old school pageantry people love to experience. It’s the Gonfalon… a ceremonial banner mounted on a crossbar supported by a wooden pole which sways as the bearer walks. And it gets a modern makeover from full color fabric printing specialist Quinn, who has turned this formerly custom product into its very own category in its line of 36 styles.
Historians report gonfalons originated in Italy during the Medieval period from the word “confalone”, often displaying a badge, coat of arms or decoration. You’ve seen them on Game of Thrones! They are still in use today around the world for formal ceremonies for everything from government agencies to sports teams to prestigious colleges like Princeton University.
“You’ve seen them many times – at graduation ceremonies, college office buildings, in marching bands, drumlines, championships, parades, and all types of ceremonies,” notes Quinn CEO Matt Quinn. “Because of the resurgence in all things regalia in our tournaments, in Beyonce’s Coachella concert Homecoming, and in hit movies such as Harry Potter, and period TV series like Game of Thrones, the market has been asking for banners to match. We custom-made the product for years for our distributors, but the market is requesting this type of formal banner more often now. Only they didn’t know what it was called.”
The category can be found under “Flags - General” and “Banners – General” in ASI’s ESP, and as “Flags” and “Banners” in SAGE.
Decorating them used to be an expensive and labor-intensive production before, replicating intricate crests, symbols and replicas with applique. But because of new digital printing capabilities that allow customization of the fabric in full color, producing these is now a breeze. Showing even the tiniest details is now possible - reproducing buildings, faces, landscapes, whatever – in crisp, clear vibrant photos on beautiful satin.
Gonfalons were often fringed to make them more formal and decorative. Quinn offers both fringed and unfringed, in V-cut and straight-cut edges, as well as different sizes. Full hardware kits are available too.
Quinn’s hope is that distributors become more acquainted with this formal banner category, what it’s called and how it’s used, so they don’t miss opportunities for presenting these options for themed sales meetings, military events, championships, marching bands, elections, graduations, medieval festivals, fairs, and more. Therefore, the supplier has created client-friendly emailable flyers and ready-to-share social media posts under the Marketing Tools section of the Quinn website.
Quinn, the #1 rated Flag and Banner Supplier in the industry, already has print-ready Gonfalon materials ready in stock in its proudly-made-in-USA factory in Hanover, Pennsylvania. See the full collection of Gonfalons at www.quinnflags.com.
Hanover, PA, April 9, 2019 – In the trade show world, where show goers drift down endless aisles of look-alike pop-up exhibits these days, marketers are now searching for the distinguishing feature that will help their booth stand out. Quinn, one of the country’s largest full color fabric printers, proudly introduces the ultimate stand-out: portable back-lit exhibit pieces where the fabric actually glows. They’re called the Illuminator series with GlowTec fabric, now available exclusively through Quinn distributors.
CEO Matt Quinn explains, “Our team was on the lookout for the next big advancement in achieving graphics that pop at trade shows, with point of purchase displays, and as special events. The combination of backlighting and our specially coated fabric enhances the graphics so much that the images actually glow, immediately attracting the eyes of prospects. Can you imagine how impactful this would be at a night time event?” The effect was so powerful, Quinn introduced the series in two sizes, as well as a glowing pop-up InstaStand that converts to a table in 3 seconds.
The fabric covering – a specially coated machine washable polyester – can be digitally printed with unlimited colors at no extra charge, with no set-up charges. Free mock-ups are also available.
Hanover, PA, April 2, 2019 – In a world where box office blockbusters confirm America’s love for transformers, the trade show and event world just gained one as well. Quinn, one of the leading exhibit providers in promotional products, introduced The Transformer Trunk, a wheeled trade show stand and storage trunk in one, wrapped in full color graphics.
President and CEO Matt Quinn revealed, “We are always trying to look into the future to develop what end users want, and they told us 3 things. At a trade show, space in the booth is at a premium. Many exhibitors are doing smaller local shows, and want more mobile solutions. They also want easy set-up and storage, but without sacrificing beautiful graphics. The Transformer Trunk was born as a solution.”
It’s a sturdy plastic trunk with durable aluminum legs that holds up to 100 pounds full of show materials or samples that’s on wheels, to roll from the car to the event easily. Within a few minutes, one person transforms that trunk into a display table that still enables them to access the inner storage, but also dress the outside with a one-piece full color graphic. It can be used either as a table or a working open storage bin. Then, it packs up even more quickly for the trek home.
“Our distributors and sales reps went wild over it, and are buying units for their own trade shows. We definitely stocked up on inventory when we saw the initial reaction,” Quinn reports.
The product also includes free full color digital printing on all four sides, with no set-up charges, and free mock-ups.
Hanover, PA, March 29, 2019 – “What’s the first thing you notice when you look at a house, school, store or office building? The front door. That real estate was sorely underused in a marketing sense until custom door runners and covers came onto the scene,” notes Quinn President & CEO Matt Quinn. “With full color stretch door runners and covers, marketers can change the whole look, personality and messaging of the front and back of the door, with a single fabric slipcase.”
These adjustable stretch door bands are made of stretch machine washable polyester fabric printed on both sides of the door for double-sided messaging. A door “runner” slips over the door like a thick rubber band, leaving the handles exposed; a door “cover” slips over the door like a book cover, over the handles. The give of the fabric allows for a snug and perfectly wrinkle-free appearance in showcasing a jumbo image or message.
Minutes before the event, they slip over the door as easily as an ironing board cover, yet absolutely no ironing or steaming is ever needed, and they slide off just as easily.
Used by colleges, realtors, and all sorts of businesses, they make effective ads for both single-focus events, or tying together a whole community - such as a new recruits welcome center or benefits fair, corporate or school open house or participating dealers during a home town celebration. To be most effective, Quinn suggests that the right artwork is what truly makes the piece effective, with these 6 Billboard Design Rules:
1. Tell a story. What’s the one message you want to convey? Humans love stories. They forget facts. Your image should tell a story quickly.
2. Know your target audience. Images should attract them.
3. Don’t say it. Show it.
4. Words: Short and sweet. No more than 7 words in very readable bold fonts.
5. Be colorful, using contrast colors that catch the eye.
6. TEST IT. Design it and print a sample the size of a business card. Hold it out an arm’s length away. If easily read, then it will be OK as a door billboard.
Quinn’s talented art team also offers free mock-ups of all products at no charge, as well as free full color fabric printing with no set-up charges.
Hanover, PA, March 26, 2019 – When researching what marketers want today in stand-up banners, the echo was “something slim-line for a small footprint, lightweight, with super-easy quick set-up, and never-wrinkle fabric that goes from event to event.” Quinn delivered this new dream banner in its new SlimFit Steel Base Kit, which debuted this year.
Chief Operating Officer Ryan Halverson, who oversees product development for Quinn, explained, “We put ourselves in our end buyer’s shoes. Marketers today wanted five characteristics in their future banners. First, a bold vibrant area that’s versatile, yet slim line. So we crafted this new banner tall, printed on both sides, yet on a base that was super thin, to squeeze into those smaller spaces. Then they wanted it sturdy yet lightweight, so we engineered a light yet firm steel frame to withstand trade show wear and tear. Then, they wanted it easy,” Halvorsen describes. “If you can slip a shirt on, then you can set up this banner. It glides right over the frame, and you’re done.”
The fourth characteristic was “to look fresh every time.” So Quinn constructed the banner of machine-washable polyester fabric that fits snugly over the frame. “Even if the last show crew rolled it into a ball inside your exhibit crate, it comes out wrinkle-free without any ironing or steaming,” Halvorsen adds. “And finally, if you need to change your graphics, why reorder the entire kit? You only need a replacement graphic, which saves the buyer money.”
Plus, with Quinn’s full color fabric printing capabilities at no extra charge, with no set-up charges and free virtuals, this makes it an even more attractive investment.
Hanover, PA, March 13, 2019 – Listening to customers’ ideas is what fueled President and CEO Matt Quinn to launch 114 new products in 7 categories to kick off the 25th Anniversary year for Quinn, one of the leading full color fabric printers in the promotional products industry. Products receiving the biggest buzz at early season trade shows were in two categories: technology-based solutions to enhance modern displays, and products that deliver convenience, all enhanced with the full color digital fabric printing Quinn receives A+ reviews for.
From four-color printed stands that hold tablets and smart phones… to a rolling traveling trunk that turns into a 4-sided billboard table and working storage… and even back-lit display booths and pop-up podiums that bring artwork to a new dimension, Quinn’s new product line-up has something for every indoor and outdoor event.
Hanover, PA, March 12, 2019 – Another year of growth for its 25th Anniversary Year has prompted the hiring of two new pros for Quinn - one of the industry’s largest full color fabric printers - strengthening muscle in the Super Hero departments of Customer Care and Finance.
Wendy Hagerman, a 25-year veteran of customer service excellence, joins the Quinn A+ ranked service team as a Communicator, one of the key roles that has evolved in the award-winning supplier’s Customer Care model. Known for her inviting smile which can be heard through the phone lines, Wendy hopes to fill the role as the customer’s ultimate service partner, either as Batman or Robin, because she always has their back.
Pat Ethem has flexed her super powers behind the scenes over a 30-year career as Bookkeeper, now filling that same role for Quinn’s expanding Finance department. Rave reviews from her former employers for her resourcefulness, eager-to-learn demeanor and team player work ethic make her a natural fit for the award-winning team who supports our distributor partners.
Hanover, PA, March 7, 2019 – In its quest to help distributors become even bigger Super Heroes to their clients, Quinn – one of the industry’s largest full color fabric printers – is educating the market about the damaging effects WRINKLES can have on their buyers’ reputations. The new generation of stretch table covers - which perfectly contour and wrap both the table and the legs - zaps out wrinkles and conveys a sleek, polished, modern brand image, without any additional effort.
Image consultant Darlene Price, author of "Well Said! Presentations and Conversations That Get Results" reports, "Fair or not, people judge us by the way we look… especially in the workplace, and it significantly influences how others perceive you and how they respond toward you.” In fact, research shows that appearance strongly influences other people's perception of your financial success, authority, trustworthiness, intelligence, and suitability for hire.
“With a reception table display as the first point of contact at an event, having a wrinkly table cover can say volumes about the team behind it,” teaches Bruce Kolbrener, Executive Vice President of Sales for Quinn. “Event organizers and sales teams are often swamped with details, traveling to the location and with limited time to set up the booth. Having to iron or steam a table cover is usually not part of the equation. The new polyester fabric of these new line of stretch table solutions is so resilient, it can even be rolled into a ball, and still be 100% wrinkle-free when you place it over the table.”
Quinn’s full color imprint capabilities on fabric at no additional charge – on all 4 sides and the top of the table – and with no set-up charges – help distributors to be an even bigger Super Hero to their clients in both creative and cost savings ways as well.
Hanover, PA, January 9, 2019 – A+ Rated Supplier Quinn, celebrating its 25th year as one of the largest full color fabric printers in the industry, today announced the addition of seven seasoned promotional product industry reps as its multi-line marketing team.
